Sand Tiger Shark Fun Fact

Look closely at the sand tiger sharks in the "Ocean Beyond the Sound" exhibit. Their snout and jaws are covered in tiny holes. These are receptors for the sharks' "sixth sense" – their ability to detect bioelectric fields emitted by other animals (including potential prey).

Reciprocal Admission to CT Science Center

When:  Month of January

We're excited to announce this special reciprocal offer with the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford!  In January only, Maritime Aquarium Members can flash their Aquarium membership card for free entry to the Science Center.

Science Center members are able to use their Science Center membership card to get free admission to The Maritime Aquarium for the month of January as well.

Please note: Jan. 1 - Jan. 15, standard IMAX movies will not be shown so that the Aquarium can present "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." 

Membership cards and photo IDs required at both locations.
