A sukkah for Sukkot Sept. 28-Oct. 4

The Maritime Aquarium is taking special steps to help our many Jewish friends celebrate the Festival of Sukkot Sept. 28 - Oct. 4.

NOTICE: Due to the approaching hurricane, our sukkah will be taken down one day early and will not be available on Sunday, October 4th. It will be up for the full day on Saturday, October 3rd. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

We will erect a traditional dwelling – called a sukkah – in which Jewish visitors can eat, snack and rest during the seven-day celebration.

Special thanks to Rabbi Levi Stone of the Schneerson Center for Jewish Life in Westport for helping us plan for the 12-by-20-foot sukkah, to be placed near the seal exhibit on our riverfront courtyard.

For the Mincha service, please visit Beth Israel of Westport/Norwalk, 40 King St., Norwalk, 2.7 miles from the Aquarium at 1:30 p.m.

Mission: The Maritime Aquarium inspires people of all ages to appreciate and protect the Long Island Sound ecosystem
and the global environment through
