Follow the true story of nature’s greatest explorers – lemurs – from their incredible ocean journey to the remote island of Madagascar millions of years ago to today as they struggle to survive in the modern world.  Join Dr. Patricia Wright on her lifelong mission to help these strange and adorable creatures. 
Dr. Wright is professor of biological anthropology at Stony Brook University on Long Island. She is winner of the 2014 Indianapolis Prize, the world's leading award for animal conservation.
The team behind this new film includes the creative forces behind "Born to Be Wild":  director David Douglas, writter-producer Drew Fellman and narrator Morgan Freeman. "Island of Lemurs: Madagascar" is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX Entertainment.
