The Maritime Aquarium has convened a Maritime Youth Advisors Board.  The mission of this Board is inspire people of all ages to appreciate Long Island Sound and protect it for future generations – by touching families, communities, and schools, through education, environment, and awareness of global ocean issues. The Maritime Youth Advisors Board fosters the next generation of stewards for this beautiful and fragile eco-system.

Youth serving on this Board:

Serve as ambassadors of The Aquarium in the community.

Help foster youth philanthropy by engaging fellow youth in activities and support at the Aquarium.

Advise the Aquarium on, among other things:
The appeal of exhibits
IMAX Films – Hollywood & Traditional
Attracting an audience of their peers

Host receptions and events on behalf of the The Aquarium for friends, family and donors.
