It's all within an easy walk of the [train] station too – including The Maritime Aquarium, the one relatively new building in the group and the one that enables grownups to enjoy browsing and shopping while still entertaining the children."

"Lorikeets" exhibit opens for summer on May 24

It's not quite the swallows of Capistrano, but we're excited to announce that the lorikeets are returning to The Maritime Aquarium soon.  These colorful medium-sized parrots, which were a big hit with guests last summer, return to their special walk-through aviary outside on the Aquarium's riverfront courtyard from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. "Lorikeets" is free with Aquarium admission, but the experience is even better if you buy a small cup of nectar for the birds, who will land on you to sup up the sweet juice. Get the press release here.
