Aquarium accredited by AZA
The Maritime Aquarium has received accreditation by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, meaning that we meet the highest standards for animal care and visitor safety.
This is something of a prestigious recognition. Of 2,795 animal exhibitors in North America licensed by the USDA, only 222 – or less than 8 percent – are currently accredited by the AZA.
